The Come Children Sing Institute SONG LIBRARY CD-ROM is an electronic resource for music learning, presenting over 500 new songs for children of all ages.  Browse to find songs that meet your educational priorities.  Search to find songs that meet the musical needs of your children—preschool, elementary, and children’s chorus.  See the notation, hear the songs—including piano accompaniments, and print copies for classroom use.  The SONG LIBRARY is compatible with any methodology or music series.

The SONG LIBRARY is made up of 16 Songbooks, distributed onto 5 virtual Bookshelves.  Bookshelf 1 includes songs for all levels from early childhood through choral performance.  Bookshelf 2 presents songs for performance for the elementary classroom and children’s chorus.  Bookshelf 3 offers “Show Tunes” for musicals for the elementary classroom and children’s chorus.  Bookshelf 4 offers songs for children’s church choir.  Bookshelf 5 provides songs and chants without words in various tonalities and meters for children of all ages.

Browse to find songs that meet your educational priorities.  Discover art songs for young children, songs in modes and unusual meters, songs for choral performance, songs for musicals, lyrics of folk rhymes from 27 different cultures and 45 distinguished poets.

Search by tonality, meter, range, difficulty, origin or title to find songs that meet the musical needs of your children.

View the notation of each song, play the song, and print copies for classroom use.  Click and drag the notation to adjust your view.  Click the arrows of <Review List> to page the list of songs generated through Browse, Search, or Table of Contents.  Click Teacher Notes to keep a record of when the song was used with a particular group of children, teaching techniques, or concert use.  Click on piano to see, hear, and print the piano accompaniment.

Place the pointer on any song in the list generated by Songbooks, Browse, or Search to display its various parameters that help to choose appropriate songs.

Put songs in folders for lesson plans, concerts, or future use with My Desk.  Create a new folder for each group of children.  Print all songs in a folder from My Desk.
