Online Song Reading Sessions Song Reading Sessions can be taken in any order, and each session begins when you register. Mix and match Song Reading Sessions for professional development hours, with the option of accumulating 5 or 10 hours for .5 or 1 CEU from Indiana University/Purdue University, Indianapolis. Song Reading Sessions are listed below. Additional online courses and workshops for professional development hours, CEUs, or graduate credit are available here. [There is no overlap between songs in the various Song Reading Sessions, though many songs can be used across ages, stages, and settings.]

Songs can stand alone or be strung together to create a choral review or musical, with or without script, costumes, or scenery. All songs include piano accompaniments and suggestions for performance. Songs and Chants Without Words Songs and Chants Without Words Application: All Ages 1 Hr $10 1 Professional Development Hour These songs and chants without words introduce children to various tonalities and meters, providing a “sound environment” for all music learning. Songs and chants can be used with very young children, school-aged children, and even adults to develop a sense of tonality and meter, the foundation of all music learning. Ongoing experience with various tonalities and meters through songs and chants without words primes children for in-tune and in-rhythm singing, and prepares them for the many songs in various tonalities and meters presented in OTEC Song Reading Sessions.
