Series of Articles for Teachers

Mary Ellen Pinzino continues to lead the way both in music learning and in the application of technology for music learning. A series of six articles for the Early Childhood Music and Movement Association (ECMMA) offered dialogue between Mary Ellen Pinzino and Dr. Rick Townsend, Managing Director of ECMMA, for the ECMMA website. Three of the articles focused on young children’s artistry, while the other three addressed online teacher education. Articles can be found here or at ECMMA. Red Line

From the Podium...

Online teaching of both children and teachers has dominated the work of the Come Children Sing Institute for the last seven years. It has been fed by decades in the live classroom with students of all ages. 2012 brought a new reason for Mary Ellen Pinzino to return to the live classroom once a week. Grand Prairie Choral Arts (GPCA), of the South Suburbs of Chicago, invited her to develop a new children’s chorus for children in grades 1-4. The “live bait” for the ongoing Children’s Choral Workshop was the joy of having her first grade grandson in the chorus.
